Lisa is a certified Junior Intermediate level 3 Iyengar yoga teacher working in the Bushey, Watford and South West Herts area.
She was the first certified Iyengar teacher to teach locally, when she qualified as an introductory teacher in 2006.
14 years on, 5 exams later... Lisa has many wonderful students and still loves to assist and guide her students to reach their own potential. Some have been coming for regular classes for many years, but please don't feel daunted as many are newer.
Lisa strives to provide a safe, warm, clean, peaceful and friendly space for people to take a step out of their daily lives for a moment, to enjoy the benefits of this astounding art.
One student recently complimented Lisa describing her as a " yoga geek!", she was not offended :-)
Some of Lisa's students have now gone on to become certified Iyengar yoga teachers. In time, the small Bushey based community of Iyengar yoga devotees is expanding and thriving, as it has throughout the world.
Students regularly attending classes, come from near and far such as...
Watford, Elstree, Oxhey, Borehamwood, Stanmore, Edgware, Mill Hill, Harrow, Pinner, Eastcote, Northwood, Harrow, Sarratt, Chorleywood, Kings Langley, Hemel Hempstead and Aylesbury, St. Albans, Berkhampstead and beyond.

A bit more of the story...
(This is the blurb I send out for publicity, so I thought I would share it with you here!)
Lisa is an enthusiastic, energetic, but careful teacher who genuinely seeks to help others through yoga learning. She feels it a great privilege to be able to help others through the system of Iyengar yoga, and is proud to be able to be an active member of the Iyengar yoga community and IY (UK).
She devotes her life to yoga and also to her family and 2 children. She places great emphasis on getting the balance right, between home and health, personal development and the ability to help and nurture others.
Lisa is delighted that she passed the Junior Intermediate level 1 in 2012, Level 2 in 2014 and Level 3 in 2015.
She enjoys working on postures and the personal challenges yoga and life bring. She trains weekly through personal practise, regular class attendance with senior teachers, training, workshops, Pranayama classes and philosophy discussion. Lisa attends Iyengar yoga conventions, where wonderful Senior Iyengar teachers also share their knowledge.
Through yoga, Lisa has found that the stresses of everyday life can be managed and viewed with renewed perspective. Yoga helped her with injuries, has in the past seen her through illness and personal challenges. Lisa also valued her practise during pregnancy and continuing through motherhood.
Lisa believes that 'the yoga journey to wholeness, inner peace and ultimate freedom', (BKS Iyengar) is an exciting one and is passionate in sharing the benefits of the postures and philosophy, as she herself has learned from others.
